Andrea, Chris, and Baby-to-be

Wow,  did we ever luck out for a mid-April evening!  Andrea, so stunning and beautiful as an expectant mommy, was able to wear a summer dress - lucky us.  She was wonderful with indulging me as well, walking thru some prickly weeds in that pretty dress :)  

I'm starting her post with my facebook teaser that still takes makes my breath away.  The next image was from their engagement session which we duplicated on this night, but lacked a bit of height (which was me, climbing onto a bail of hay ;).

Thank you Andrea for wanting to capture this wonderful time in your and Chris' life together.  Maternity shoots are by far another of my favorites.

"Danielle & Nick"

I'd love for you to meet Danielle & Nick, the sweetest couple, in young love that I have ever met.  The first photo in this series was taken with my Iphone before I got to know them as well as I do now :)  Dani's Mom had told me that they had gotten engaged over Thanksgiving, and as I watched the two of them at the UND Sioux hockey game, I just couldn't help myself and had to capture this moment between 2 people so completely in love with each other.  

As we got to know one another better and Dani shared with me, the fact that she wanted additional engagement photos, I was thrilled.  

Being that they live in Crookston MN. and I in Hallock, MN. we made plans to meet downtown Grand Forks to shoot an engagement session before one of the Sioux hockey games.  Perfect.

Well, perfect was right!  The weather on March 10th was seasonably warm, and the snow was melting fast.  I got to shoot some beautiful chemistry between 2 beautiful people, while Dani told me of Nick's proposal on Thanksgiving morning, and her spilled chocolate milk ;).  

It was a perfect evening.  I believe the Sioux also won that night!

I really do love these 2, and they're family as well!  I cannot wait to be able to celebrate their wedding with them :)  Congrats you guys & we'll see you soon!

Blog.....?

To blog or not to blog....  that always seems to be the question.  I have discovered something about myself in this blogging adventure.  I am a bad blogger.  I have a passion for everything photography.... except for blogging.   I think it has to do with this world we know now, of instant gratification.  I tend to face book an image I love rather than blog it because of the responses I receive.  I post an image and boom, there's a comment!  I love it!  As well as the perfectionism and obsession with saying the perfect thing, which isn't that bad in the end, is it?!
Well, it's time to begin a photography face book page -  which will link to my blog and vise-versa.  All good!  Thanks so much for checking out my blog!!  Stay tuned.....
